Join the Urbana Arts and Culture Program and Urbana’s Market at the Square for MARKET AT THE SCARE!, our annual fall celebration at the Urbana farmers market! From 8am-12pm, join in the fun with activities for the whole family including: a pop-up photo booth with props, character greeters, fall crafts, puppet show, and a spooky story time! Market patrons are encouraged to dress up in costume and youth can trick-or-treat at select vendors!
From 8am-12pm, join us for a Spooky Soundscapes workshop with the IDEA Store! Youth can create their own monster sounds out of ordinary materials found in our beloved IDEA Store!
From 9:30am-11:30am, join us for a live haunted concert from Urbana Pops Orchestra playing all of your favorite ghostly songs. Sing along and join in some dancing fun for all ages.
All these events are free, open to all ages, and require no registration to participate. The workshop and performance will be held on Walnut Street near the City of Urbana tent at the northwest entrance to the Market at the Square, located in historic downtown Urbana on Illinois and Vine. The City offers art programming during Urbana’s Market at the Square season. Happy haunting!
